AFCCO works to an integrated HSE management system aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and with client field requirements — from planning and permits through to closeout, with safety treated as a delivery discipline rather than an afterthought.
Our position
AFCCO works on live oil and gas sites, in remote locations, with heavy plant and hot work. The hazards are real, which is why safety performance is managed with the same seriousness as cost and programme.
The company operates one HSE management system across both divisions, aligned to ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety and ISO 14001 for environmental management, and adapted on each contract to the client's own permit system and field rules. Responsibility sits with line management: the site engineer running the work owns the safety of that work, supported by a dedicated HSE officer with the authority to stop it.
Every person on an AFCCO site — employee, subcontractor or visitor — holds stop-work authority. Using it is never treated as a fault.

Before work starts
Hazards are assessed against the actual method and location, not a generic template, and the controls are written into the method statement the crew works to.
People and roles
Nobody works on a task they have not been inducted and trained for, and operator and welder qualifications are verified before mobilisation.
Fit for the task
Plant, lifting gear and personal protective equipment are inspected on a schedule, colour-coded where required, and removed from service when they fail.
When something goes wrong
Each site has an emergency response plan aligned with the client's, with the roles, routes and contacts drilled rather than filed.
Footprint on the location
Environmental controls are planned with the same rigour as safety controls, because a spill or an unrestored location is a failure the client carries afterwards.
Evidence, not assurance
HSE performance is measured and reported to the client on their cycle, and every incident and near miss is investigated to root cause.
